Factors that cause climate change
Greenhouse gases such as Carbon Dioxide and Methane are being released in the environment at much faster and dangerous rates due to rapid industrialization and urbanization that has taken place in the last century.   Deforestation is also a leading factor as cutting down trees leads to less absorption of Co2. The burning of Coal is majorly done in industries to generate electricity. This causes air pollution and releases Carbon Dioxide. For further reading you can access:

Effects of rapid climate change on our environment
  • rising maximum temperatures: Due to rising emission of greenhouse gases, which is trapped in the earth's atmosphere, leading to higher temperatures.

  • rising sea levels: This is a big problem for people that reside in low lying islands. As temperatures rise, ice sheets and glaciers melt causing sea levels to rise.

  • Collapsing ecosystem : As temperatures are fluctuating worldwide species that are unable to adapt are going extinct, collapsing ecosystems in the process

  • Melting Polar Ice Cap :  Due to rising temperatures the Artic and Antarctic are rapidly shrinking in size and causing devastating consequences

So what's the solution?
We need to switch to sustainable, renewable energy. We need to plant more trees and prevent deforestation. We need to raise awareness and spread information about climate change. We need to show our support towards organizations that combat climate change. Most importantly, we need to engage the public to share their innovative solutions SO What Do You Think is The Solution ?
